Here is our little surf spot guide Bali, for the west coast of the Bukit. We wish you lots of fun exploring these surf spots and hope you will catch some nice waves!

Aloha

 

Uluwatu

Uluwatu is the most famous break of Bali. The wide reef offers many different peaks which all turn on at different tide stages.

The Peak is a little to your left as you paddle out of the cave and is a consistent wave that works at all tide stages.

Outside corners is only breaking at low tide on the biggest swells.

Racetrack as the name says it’s a fast breaking wave, it works best with low tide.

The bombie will break on the biggest swells and is rideable at up to 20′ or even bigger!

Padang Padang

Padang Padang is known as the Balinese pipeline. It is a very fast long barreling wave. Padang Padang breaks over a shallow coral reef and is only for expert surfers.

Padang Padang rights is a very easy wave and is suitable for beginners, longboarders and intermediate surfers. This is a perfect surf spot for beginners to progress from riding white water to green waves. The conditions at high tide are very forgiving – a long slow wave.

Impossibles

Impossibles is a long, fast left-hander. There are 3 separate peaks on this wide reef which breaks up the crowds. On the right conditions with a good size swell and offshore wind, it is possible for the sections to link up and to get a ride of a mile.

Bingin

Bingin is a barrel machine. If you want to practice barrel riding lefts – Bingin is the perfect location. At low tide it can be very shallow and for expert surfers only. High tide can be perfect for long boarders or intermediate surfers too. The vibe at the beach is super chilled and the Warungs have tasty food, healthy smoothies and BBQ on some days.

Dreamland

Dreamland has many different breaks that work at different stages of the tide and is suitable for all kind of surfers. The best wave is an A frame peak that works best at low tide on a big swell. There is also a punchy shore break.

Balangan

Balangan is a reef break but has a beautiful white sand beach. This wave is a fun left hander, that is not so fast as Impossibles or Racetracks. With the different tides, it is suitable for all kind of surfers. The vibe at the beach is super chilled and friendly and the Warungs have very tasty food.
